Italia Group Elevates aceTECH 2025 with Immersive Displays

Italia Group, one of the Global leading names in the mosaics & tiles manufacturing industry, concluded its aceTECH, Mumbai 2025 showcase with an exceptional response. With Palladio, Piccolo and Grifine at its core, the 300 sq. ft. booth on the grand passage transformed into an immersive design walkway that captivated thousands of visitors across four days.

The experience brought together architectural storytelling, material expression, and on-site craftsmanship, setting a new benchmark for experiential booths in the surfaces industry.

A Booth That Redefined Visitor Experience

The Entrance Experience

Visitors stepping into the booth were greeted by a striking Mask Mural, created meticulously in glass mosaic tile. Its scale and dramatic presence instantly set the tone for the narrative that followed, one where mosaic art was not just displayed, but performed.

Opposite the mural, Piccolo’s Batik Look installation created a contrasting emotional entry point. Displayed with a small, crystal-clear mini-pool, the Suka Bumi mosaics in Batik look showcased their underwater brilliance as well as their dry-surface character. Architects & Landscape Designers paused here longer than expected, examining both colour behaviour and surface reflectivity, an experience that could only be fully appreciated in person.

Directly ahead, a sophisticated Italia Group brand wall anchored the booth with elegance. It acted as a pause before the journey unfolded into distinct brand zones, each connected yet narratively unique.

Piccolo: A Playful World of Colour, Formats & Modern Expressions

Nearly half the booth was dedicated to Piccolo, a brand known for transforming small porcelain pieces into big statements. The walk-through began with the Batik Look’s raw textures, followed by a breathtaking display of 70+ colours, arranged like a painter’s palette, drawing visitors into its vibrant world. As they moved further, a section of 37 mosaic formats revealed the brand’s versatility, and the 8-colour Uniblend display added a playful, youthful twist that immediately resonated with the designers.

Across this section lay a brand-new story: the Piccolo Brocade Look.

The Brocade Look was born from industry observations and changes in consumers’ taste and preferences, where specifiers increasingly sought metallic warmth without the heaviness of stone or the glare of gloss finishes. They needed a porcelain mosaic tile that offered modern depth, subtle sheen, and a contemporary accent without overwhelming the space.

Italia Group turned this insight into the Brocade Look, an elegant 5Ɨ10 cm format across eight metallic-inspired SKUs. With undertones of bronze, gold and graphite, the Brocade mosaics are perfect for reception counters, boutique interiors, feature walls, lifestyle bathrooms, intimate hospitality corners, and premium residential spaces. At the booth, the display drew continuous attention for its refined texture and modern aesthetic language.

A Mural That Stole the Show: Bandra–Worli Sea Link

Midway through the booth, a monumental moment awaited every visitor: a larger-than-life, aligned mural of the Bandra–Worli Sea Link, constructed entirely from glass mosaic tile. Visitors stood in awe before it, taking videos, zooming into micro-details, and applauding the precision with which every mosaic tile aligned to form the iconic silhouette.

The mural was not just visually compelling; it was a technical triumph. The installation required relentless day-and-night dedication from the team, involving on-site grouting, alignment refinements, and the kind of craftsmanship that is rarely visible in exhibition settings. This mural alone became a design conversation across the event.

Grifine: Ceramic Tile Excellence with Style & Strength

On one side of the booth, Grifine showcased ceramic tiles through a series of tactile, sensory contrasts, matt against high-polished, structured surfaces against silken ones, and rugged R11 textures against the softness of smooth finishes. This curation allowed visitors to experience ceramic tiles across touch, light, texture, and practicality, helping them visualize spaces in both functional and aspirational contexts, from faƧades to spa zones, bathrooms, clubhouses, and residences.

Palladio: Where Mosaic Art, Murals & Material Innovation Converged

As visitors moved ahead from the Grifine zone, the booth opened into its most dramatic and visually arresting segment, the Palladio gallery, a space that brought together artistic expression, technical mastery, and new material innovations under one narrative arc.

This central zone showcased four artistic murals, each transforming glass mosaic tile into a vivid language of colour and form. Three pop-art inspired pieces, a horse, a donkey and a dog, revealed how Palladio reinterprets bold visual styles into striking mosaic art. On the opposite side of them, a towering, larger-than-life Amazon mural drew visitors instantly with its layered tones and immersive storytelling, often becoming the backdrop for designer conversations.

Balancing these expressive artworks were four intricately aligned murals, Caisyn, the serene portrait rendered with fine tonal depth; a majestic Jaguar, whose presence and precision caught the maximum attention throughout the event; a lush tropical mural bursting with botanical detail; and a vibrant panel of colourful flowers. Each mural demonstrated Palladio’s command over alignment, realism, shading, and the emotive power of mosaic.

At the centre of this gallery, a contemporary table topped with the mosaic ā€œAltoā€ served as a sculptural focal point. Its presence stitched the entire space together, making it one of the most admired styling elements of the booth.

But this gallery wasn’t just a celebration of Palladio’s artistry; it also became the setting for the brand’s two major 2025 launches, unveiled as part of the same immersive walkthrough.

Months of discussions with specifiers revealed a growing desire for geometric versatility in different spaces, shapes that could create rhythm and movement beyond traditional squares. Responding to this insight, Italia Group introduced the 3.5 cm Triangle under the Palladio Hotmelt Collection. Displayed just outside the mural zone, the new format immediately drew designers for its angular precision, modular flexibility, and the visual dynamism it brings to pools, water bodies, and accent walls. Many described it as ā€œthe shape they didn’t know they were missing, but now absolutely needed.ā€

Another conversation-led innovation was the Palladio Sintered Collection, born from an architect’s need for a mosaic material that could unite aesthetic refinement with long-term durability and colour integrity, especially for spa, wellness and high-traffic environments. The resulting collection, offered in 1.5 cm and 3 cm Round Penny, 2.5 cm Hexa, and 3 cm Clover formats across 54 SKUs, blends performance with luxury. At the booth, the dramatic Black Sintered Clover installation, paired with a mock black bathtub, became one of the most photographed elements of the entire exhibition.

Together, the murals and material launches transformed the Palladio section into a multidimensional experience, one where mosaic art, innovation and architectural storytelling came together to showcase the true potential of glass mosaic tile craftsmanship.

A Successful Exhibition Fuelled by Enthusiastic Feedback

Throughout the four days, Italia Group received abundant words of encouragement and appreciation, ranging from compliments on the brand’s innovation-led approach to admiration for its experiential display format. Many visitors returned on multiple days with peers, colleagues, and clients, further amplifying the booth’s reach.

The overwhelming response reinforced the brand’s belief that mosaics and mosaic art, when combined with creativity, material science, and smart presentation, have the power to transform spaces into vibrant storytelling surfaces.

‘Make Your Own Mosaic’, A Showstopper Experience

One of the biggest highlights of the exhibition was Italia Group’s ā€œMake Your Own Mosaicā€ wall. Colourful 10Ɨ10 cm porcelain mosaic tiles were neatly arranged on side shelves for visitors to pick, write on, doodle, and place onto a large fabric grid. Over four days, this simple yet creative activity became a space for spontaneous expression and joyful participation. The wall kept evolving as visitors added their messages, and engagement was so high that the team ran out of tiles by the final day, a true reflection of how strongly the concept resonated.
